SNEAK PEEK OF ELLIE MAKEUP SULTRY SPRING SUMMER LOOKBOOK 2010-11

We have been working very hard to bring the latest looks for Spring/Summer 2010/11 to create a stunning look book for the ellie makeup first campaign once our products hit our boutique on 1st October.

All looks shown have been some of our inspirations and we have put together how to achieve these looks with our gorgeous ellie makeup products.

GET THE LOOK Smoky with a twist

FACE:
Apply Retexture Crème Face Primer all over face. Blend and diffuse Liquid Mineral Powder Foundation with a touch of Luminous Universale Glow Crème for an even, luminous complexion (foundation brush). Apply Flawless Finish Concealer Wand to inner under eye area and blend (concealer brush).

EYES
Using the Glamorous Collection from the Loose Mineral Crushed Eyeshadow range, apply Sparkling to entire mobile lid (all over eye blender brush). Blend Mesmerising to crease of eye and Ravishing to edge of mobile lid (Oval Eye Blender Brush). Apply Alluring to inner corners of eyes (Precision Crease Brush).
Line top and lower lashes and inner rim of eyes with Does Not Budge Liner Gel in Raven (Bent Liner Brush). To soften lower liner, blend the Glamorous Collection Colours over lower lash liner (Brow Brush). Apply two coats of Luxurious Lashes Mascara in Black Velvet to top and bottom lashes. Brush up brows (Spoolie Brush) and apply Brush on Brow powder.

CHEEKS
Flush apples of cheeks with Pressed Blush Glow in Entice (Blush Brush).

LIPS
Line lips with Lip Pencil in Baby. Add dimension with Luxe Lisse Gloss in Andrea.

PRO TIP
For a metallic eye that won’t move, use Revamp Transformer Sealant and apply with Loose Mineral Crushed Eyeshadow to eye for extra glam va va voom eyes!

FACE:
Apply Retexture Crème Face Primer all over face. Blend Luminous Universale Crème to cheeks, and brow bone. Blend and diffuse Loose Mineral Crushed Powder Foundation for an even, luminous complexion (Powder Brush). Apply Flawless Finish Concealer duo eye area and blend (concealer brush).

EYES
Sweep colour one from Eye Feel Trio Palette Collection in Romance over entire eyelid area (Big Shader Brush).
Using Does Not Budge Liner Liquid in Anisette, Apply a thin, long sweeping line across the top lashes and thin line to lower lash line. Apply a wash of starlet Losse Crushed Mineral Eyeshadow to the entire mobile lid (Large Shader Brush). Apply two coats of Luxurious Lashes Mascara in Black Velvet to top and bottom lashes. Brush up brows (Spoolie Brush) and apply Brush on Brow powder.

CHEEKS
Flush contours of cheeks with a sheer wash of Loose Mineral Crushed Blush in Sienna (Blush Brush).

LIPS
Line lips with Lip Pencil in Crimson. Add dimension with Luxe Lisse Crème in Classic for a pout that speaks. Finish with Luxe Lisse Gloss in Tina.

PRO TIP
For a poppy pout that won’t move, line and fill entire lips with Lip Pencil in Poppy for true lasting power.

Apply Loose Mineral Crushed Eyeshadow in Selene to entire eyelid (Big Shader Brush) and lower lash line. Blend colour Melilla to mobile lid of eye (Oval Eye Blender Brush). Line top lid with Eye Pencil in Black. Apply two coats of Luxurious Lashes Mascara in Black Velvet to top and bottom lashes. Brush up brows (Spoolie Brush) and apply Brush on Brow powder.

CHEEKS
Flush apples of cheeks with Loose Mineral Crushed Blush in Musk (Blush Brush).

LIPS
Line lips with Lip Pencil in Sienna lightly. Apply Luxe Lisse Gloss in Vittoria for a nude luscious lip.

PRO TIP
For luminous skin always mix Luminous Universale Crème to foundation before applying to skin. Always use Luminous Universale Veil Powder to all the areas of the face to be highlighted: brow bone, above cheek, down nose, down forehead and chin and on cupid’s arrow in lip for serious shine.

Trials are held at ellie makeup's exclusive Richmond Studio. Your makeup specialist will offer you a brief makeup consultation at the beginning of your trial to discuss colours, looks and your preferences, before creating the most suitable wedding makeup look for you.

Trials take up to an hour, ensuring the perfect look is created and perfected for your wedding day. Trials include full makeup application and fake lashes so you are absolutely satisfied and achieve your desired look.

Elissa, director of Ellie makeup, suggests you bring any theming or inspiration with you to the trial to help create the same visual concept that you are dreaming of for your wedding day. This includes magazine images of makeup you like, wedding dress picture, colour theming, invitation, lace, fabric, shoes, headpiece, jewellery, or your own makeup bag and colours etc.

The ellie makeup product range will be arriving to our online store October 1st 2010. To celebrate the luxurious products, ellie is hosting a launch party on September 30th. With an exclusive guest list, canapes and bubbly will be served as guests peruse the exclusive range of products at the Makeup Bar. The Lash bar will act as a treat of luxury for the girls. Photographers will be snapping pics throughout the evening while guests are entertained with a lavish fashion show extravaganza showcasing hot fashion from Australian designers and hair creations by the best. Ellie makeup will adorn the model's faces in perfectly created looks. Special guest appearances and grand raffle prizes drawn at the end of the evening. Every guest will be treated to a luxury gift bag with ellie makeup products and gifts from sponsors. It is a night not to missed!

Bridal Makeup Tips...

Your eyes are the windows to your soul…
When asked what kind of look Brides want to focus on for their wedding day, most say a natural look but with the emphasis on the eyes. This look can be timeless, yet sexy and beautiful. All the traits any bride would want to have!
So do you want to know the tricks of the trade and how to achieve those sexy bridal eyes?
Start by cleaning the eye area with a makeup wipe, ensuring any excess oil is removed from the delicate eye area. Do not moisturize the eye area, as this is the oiliest part of the body, so any added moisture will crease your eye-shadow and make it run off, a big no no for any bride.
Use a concealer or shadow magnet to prep the eye. Add translucent powder to the eye-lid to set.
Take a beautiful shimmer in beige and apply to the top lid, patting as you go and stopping at your crease.
Apply a medium brown to the outer crease area and blending slightly upwards to just above the socket line. Always blend the line to make it look as natural as possible.
Use a warm gold loose shadow on the inner top lid eye crease to merge with the medium brown shadow. Blend well with the brush.
To make your eyes stand out, and to appear rested for your big day, apply a cream colour eye shadow to the inner part of the eyes. This will make your eye POP!
You can use a dark brown or black gel liner and apply a thin line to the top lash line. Then using a small brush, smudge over the line slightly to create a soft, smoky look that is also natural.
Using the gel liner, apply to the lower lash line, merging from the outer inwards.
Use the medium brown eye shadow over the lower lash line gel liner to soften the look.
To make your eyes appear clean and fresh, use a white eye pencil on the inner rims of the lower lid. You will notice it erases any tired look and redness disappears also!
Fake lashes really complete the look, so apply three medium length individual lashes to the ends, and add four or five short length individual lashes in between to make the look appear more natural. Add a coat of black waterproof (no smudging for wedding day tears!) mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
Brush up eyebrows and if necessary add a little brow shadow.
It is important to remember that sleep, rest and a great eye cream help keep eyes looking their best.
